The Premier Mk II was the last model of the Webley & Scott Premier to be produced. Manufactured between 1975 and 1977, the Mark II saw a redesign of the air pistol body to a larger profile than the previous models. Overall, the design remained very similar between the various models of the Premier. This particular pre-owned example has the barrel shroud near the muzzle, suggesting that it is a later model. Specific dating of the Premier is difficult, due to lacking a true serial number. Webley would stamp manufacturing numbers on the main body of the pistol, but these would rarely correspond to when the pistol was made.
When they were manufactured, Webley stated that the .22 had a velocity of 310 fps and was capable of getting pellets into a 1 inch group at 30 feet. These figures are achievable, but it will require time and patience. The Webley & Scott Premier is a highly sought after air pistol today amongst collectors, especially those that had them when they were younger.
- Mechanism: Over Lever
- Calibre: .22
- Barrel length: 6"
- Weight: 2.3lb
