Good condition Miroku 6000 skeet gun, dated 1982. Based on the Browning Citori 425, the 6000 design philosophy is an example of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. These guns are bomb proof and will last a lifetime. This skeet gun has been well cared for throughout its life, you certainly wouldn't believe it was made in 1982. Whilst there are one or two small cosmetic marks on the stock, they are nothing unexpected for a gun of its age. The barrels still lock up well and are clean internally. Whilst it is not superior steel proofed, you can put standard pressure steel cartridges through this gun. As the barrels are 27 inches long, this would make an excellent gun for use in the hide due to a compact overall size. There have been some aftermarket barrel weights added to ensure a smoother swing up front, as short barrels can make movement quite snappy. This is an excellent gun as a first gun, spare gun or as a do anything option.

Miroku are renowned as one of the most reliable and high quality mass gun makers in the world.  Their expansion into firearms production started in 1893 and they joined forces with Browning in the 1970s.  The 6000 series of shotguns were based on the Browning Superposed, which became the Browning Citori.  Internally, these guns are near identical to the Citori and still retain a lot in common with the modern day Miroku MK60.  One noticeable difference is the construction of the barrels.  The 6000 has chopper lump barrels, whilst the MK60 has monobloc barrels.  The SK-1 is the entry level dedicated skeet gun in the Miroku 6000 line.  It has slightly shorter barrels than usual, at 27 inches and is fixed choke skeet and skeet.  As a sporting gun, it has the wider top rib and a beaver tail forend rather than the standard schnabel forend.
