Browning Pre-owned Medalist Over and Under Shotgun - 12 Gauge Walnut
Browning Pre-owned Medalist Over and Under Shotgun - 12 Gauge Walnut
Good condition Browning Medalist shotgun, excellent as a rough gun or as a spare gun. Made under license by FIAS for Browning, the Medalist is often found in the field. Light and easy to swing, it is an excellent pigeon basher. Typically European in size and scope, it is a little lively with heavier cartridges, but nothing excessive. This example is in good conditon overall, with a few cosmetic marks consistent with age and use. Please note that although this gun is multi-choke it comes with 1/4 and 1/2 choke only.

The Browning Medalist has always been a robust and well-designed shotgun intended for the mass market as an entry-level budget model. Apart from the very earliest ones, which tended to be a little over-complicated, the action design quickly evolved to become much more straightforward and reliable.
The Medalist is in many ways perfect for the beginner and adapts well for most clay, game and pigeon disciplines, though heavy loads for wildfowling are not really an option.
It is relatively trouble free and any repairs tend to be restricted to simple issues such as worn springs and ejectors, which are easily replaced.
Overall this is a gun that was built to last. It is robust and affordable, a bit of an all-rounder and is certainly worth considering.
- Mechanism: Over and Under
- Calibre: 12 gauge
- Barrel length: 28"
- Stock Length: 14 3/4"
- Steel Proof: No
